Downer EDI Limited (Downer) announced today that its subsidiary, Spotless Facilities Services Pty Ltd, had been awarded a contract to provide maintenance services across the SA Housing Authority social housing portfolio in the Adelaide metropolitan area.
The contract is valued at approximately $630 million over seven-and-a-half years, with Downer scheduled to commence work from January 2023.
Under the contract, Downer will deliver reactive maintenance, vacant restoration and minor works projects to 27,000 social and public housing dwellings. Works will include plumbing, electrical, roofing and painting, as well as refurbishment and upgrade works, providing crucial maintenance services for public housing residents.
The Chief Executive Officer of Downer, Grant Fenn, said the win demonstrates Downer’s capability as the leading social housing maintenance services provider.
“This contract further expands our footprint in the sector across Australia and New Zealand, and will increase our investment and capability in South Australia,” Mr Fenn said.
“We look forward to working closely with the SA Housing Authority to provide these vital services for the people of South Australia.”
