Transport and logistics group, MOVE Logistics Group Limited (NZX/ASX: MOV), wishes to advise that Lorraine Witten, a Director since 2017 and Chair for the last two and a half years, has announced that she will retire from MOVE’s Board at this year’s Annual Meeting in October.

The Board is undertaking a process to appoint a new independent Chairperson and will update the market in due course. Lorraine will then step down as Chair but will remain as a Director to enable a seamless succession prior to the Annual Meeting.

Lorraine is a dynamic and experienced director with over 25 years' governance experience and the Board is grateful for the contribution that she has made over the past seven years. She joined the Board in 2017 to assist as the organisation transitioned from private ownership to a publicly listed company, which involved transforming the company into a modern integrated supply chain business. Lorraine was chair of the Audit Committee for four years, prior to being appointed Board Chair in 2021.

Lorraine said: “MOVE has excellent leadership, a clear strategy and is moving in the right direction as it continues to transition towards a sales led, customer-focused, streamlined organisation. Despite the challenging economic times, our people are delivering best in class customer service, and improving financial results. It has been a pleasure to work with the leadership team and Directors over the past seven years. I am looking forward to serving out the remaining time until the Annual Meeting and ensuring a smooth and orderly transition to my successor.”
