Tony Carter appointed chair of the New Zealand Institute

The New Zealand Institute has appointed Tony Carter to the role of chair, taking over the position from Dr Keith Turner who steps down after two years.

"I believe in what the Institute is doing and the direction it is going in," Carter said.

"I see this opportunity in part as a way to make a contribution and give something back by helping improve long-term outcomes for all New Zealanders."

Carter has extensive management and governance experience and his directorships include Vector, Air New Zealand, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and Fletcher Building.
