The former head of CFD provider CMC Markets New Zealand has joined Velocity Trade.
Velocity, formerly Latitude FX, has appointed Sargon Elias as its general manager for its new New Zealand operations.
Elias's new role will focus on building the platform for Velocity Trade's expansion into the Asia Pacific region after the Canadian-based company acquired Latitude in July.
Velocity Trade director Greg Morgan is pleased to be able to appoint someone with the considerable local experience of Elias.
"Sargon has a proven background in financial markets here in New Zealand."
"His experience fits well with the expansion plans we have for the business in New Zealand, Australia and the wider Asia Pacific region. In Latitude FX we have acquired a company with a great heritage and which has provided an outstanding foreign exchange product for both businesses and individuals."
