Google's Australia-New Zealand managing director Karim Temsamani is to head Google's global mobile business and mobile ads strategy.
Temsamani will finish at the Australian office in September to take on the new role at Google's head office in Mountain View, California from October 1.
He says he is excited to take on the new challenge and the past three years working with the Google Australia and New Zealand team have been extraordinary .
"There's no doubt that the future of the internet is mobile and I look forward to playing a greater part in this fast growing and exciting business."
Temsamani was an executive at Fairfax Australia before taking up the Google role three years ago.
