Goodman NZ (GNZ), the manager of GMT has announced that Peter Simmonds has joined the Board as an independent director.
Simmonds has considerable property and capital markets experience having being one of the founders of Kiwi Income Property Trust, and prior to his retirement in 2008 he was chief financial officer of GNZ.
Chairman, Keith Smith says Simmonds has been closely associated with the business and GNZ is pleased that he has agreed to join the Board as an independent director.
In a further Board change, the status of independent director Phil Pryke has changed to non-executive director following his appointment to the Board of GMT's cornerstone investor, the ASX-Listed Goodman Group.
The GNZ Board policy of having a majority of independent directors remains unchanged and a further announcement in this regard will be made in due course says GNZ.
