Veteran analyst, Guy Hallwright has left Forsyth Barr just two months after being found guilty of reckless disregard for the safety of others, causing grievous bodily harm over a traffic incident in Auckland.

"I can confirm he is no longer employed by Forsyth Barr," the firm's managing director, Neil Paviour-Smith, told BusinessDesk. "You will need to ask Guy what he is up to now - I am not able to comment on staff through the media."

Hallwright, who joined the Auckland-based brokerage in 2005, was sentenced in the Auckland District Court last month. He was ordered to complete 250 hours of community work, banned from driving for 18 months and ordered him to pay $20,000 reparation to Sung Jin Kim, who was injured during their confrontation.

The so-called 'road rage' incident took place on Sept. 8 last year where it is alleged Hallwright hit Kim with his car after an exchange of angry gestures while at a traffic light led to an argument when both men stopped on Mount Eden Road. After driving a short distance away, Hallwright rang emergency services and returned to the scene.

Both of Kim's legs were seriously injured, and his left ankle was shattered, requiring reconstructive surgery.
