SKC - FEDERAL COURT APPROVES AGREEMENT WITH AUSTRAC

SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited (SkyCity) advises that the Federal Court has today approved the agreement reached by SkyCity Adelaide Pty Limited (SkyCity Adelaide), the operator of the SkyCity Adelaide casino, and the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) to resolve the civil penalty proceedings commenced by AUSTRAC in December 2022.

 

As previously announced, SkyCity Adelaide will pay a civil penalty of A$67 million in relation to admitted historical contraventions of the Australian Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 Act and Rules during the period from 7 December 2016 to 14 December 2022.

 

The Statement of Agreed Facts and Admissions will be made available at www.austrac.gov.au/lists-enforcement-actions-taken.
