U.S. stock markets closed higher on Wednesday as FDA has approved Pfizer's COVID-19 pill for use.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed higher +0.52%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were up 0.64% and 0.65%, respectively.
Other key markets ended higher. European stocks closed higher as follows: the FTSE100 (+0.61%), the Dax 30 (+0.95%), CAC 40 (+1.24%) and the STOXX (+1.01%). In Asia, the Hang Seng and Shanghai indices were barely changed. The key Asian indices ended yesterday as follows: Nikkei 225(+0.16%), HSI (+0.57%) and the Shanghai Composite (-0.07%).
The yield on the US 10 - year note was at 1.46%, while the 2 - year note was at 0.669%. Oil was up to $75.45 per barrel, up 1.99%. The gold price was at US$1804.31 per ounce, up 0.79%.
