PWC's John Waller named new chairman at Bank of New Zealand

John Waller, a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, was named chairman of Bank of New Zealand, following the retirement of Kerry McDonald.

Waller, who is also a member of the Takeovers Panel, has been on BNZ's board since the start of the year. McDonald stepped down after 17 years on the bank's board, including 11a chairman.

The appointment was effective November 8, the bank said in a statement.
