I love your posts and respect you abilities. You are obviously
a good investor, however the myopic attitude of posters like macdunk just irk
me. He has NO idea what TA entails. He obviously has read little about it, has
never studied it and views it like a non believer views the existance of
Television. I have read extensivly about FA investors, like Grahem, Buffet,
Rivkin and Kerry Packer. BUT Macdunk has never done the same about SUCCESSFUL TA
Traders. I could never compete with investors like Rivkin, However there
are many TA traders who could.
By the way all my friends and myself included bought PUTS on
AMP the First month it traded all from MY chart. It was in a major Downtrend
from day one:

I wasn't presenting/proposing an FA/TA challenge - just
thought it was possible you use FA to some degree (news world events
etc) to add weight to your TA statistical probabilities.
There is not a single doubt in my head that if you took
on the Ozzie market you would win ... in fact, the minute you state
your pick I'm likely to also be in.
Darn it Woody, it's really hard to type whilst my
cowardly feet are running toward the nearest exit.

We all know how wealthy you are macdunk ( oh God you have
told us enough times ) and how great at picking NZ stocks.
Rene Rivkin is a FA Stock Trader and very wealthy for it.I
don't contest the FA traders abilities.
I only wish that you would once in a while actually
READ one of my post with your Binkers off! I am only asking for a
little respect as a TA Trader ( Who by the way also Does very well, and Who
by the Way has a Few properties himself ). I do not trade any thing on the
NZ Market or the OZ Market I don't even have the data. ( Well not yet
)
MY Challenge was for the FOREX Market I will prove to you
that I can trade this market totally on TA. I am not debating the FA/TA who
is better argument I am only wanting you to at least tune down your
parochial, myopic attitude towards it.

BY the way Larry Williams again won the traders comp in
the US taking $10,000 to 1 Million in two weeks.
At his seminars ( which cost $5000 and he guarantees to

over a period of three days using ONLY TA . He trades all the Money
paid by the attendees and ALWAYS everyone leaves a few Thousand dollars
richer. Last year I went to one in Sydney it cost me $5000, he traded
the SPI ( Aust Share Index ) Live on stage and I walked away after 3 days
with $3000 plus my $5000 back.
LET me see a Fundamental trader live using Fundamental
data. let me see you do so!!!!
But I will take you up on your NZ and AUS stock challenge
as soon as I can arrange a data supplier. Then I will take your Stocks and
Blow you away.

return for 2003 was 78%, my return for last month was 34%.
My return for Gold and Silver was 700%. Each
Contract cost me US$800.00 and returned me $ 5,600 Per
contract.

Poor old snoopy you are all ganging up on my old mate. The same
tired old argument. My system is better than yours. Fa traders
make statements about the future price of a share, where as a ta trader
only tells us how good their system
is. I throw the challenge
back at you woody. the 2003 year I predicted on the only market I trade
on [the nz market] aia hqp poa pwc
trh. My return for the year was
30pc The previous years were20pc each year and if we take into account
the number of houses i built during those years then i think that can add
to the equation. When i see you tell this forum what a great
buy a company is at this moment in time the way i do, and risk ending up
with egg on your face then i will pay more
attention.
TA traders never do this but love to stick the boot in if the fa traders
predictions are wrong. My predictions for our market in
the next 6months are HQP and PWC let me see you beat that before you start
telling us how good you are. Give me a couple of NZ companies
woody i want snoopy to have some
fun.
