Woody, there is a logical explanation, some people may be overly skeptical of me if I did not list any qualification, at least this was my thinking. Besides the process of obtaining some of the qualifications last year taught me some very interesting and pragmatic info on taxation and company and securities law.
as for the self gratification, it is fun to look at my certificates on the wall :P
is money the root of all evil? mmm philosophy... what is evil?... the opposite of good. what is good?... Evil as we know it tends to include activities that are hurtful to other people. Killing is definitely something we perceive as evil yet it is a part of nature. So no money is not the root of all evil, perception is! (the mind). there is no fundamental good or evil but perception produces it.
confused?
your next question why can it not buy love and happiness? because these too are the stuff of the mind, money can only be exhcnaged for goods/services. Though a mind would be more likely to feel emotions of happiness if it were surrounded by splendor than by squalor.
I hope I have imparted some stimulating thoughts...
regards
Callum Thomas
