Hear hear What still astounds me is that AIR could spend all that money on the second half of Ansett without doing proper due diligence. -----Original Message----- From: sharechat-owner@sharechat.co.nz [mailto:sharechat-owner@sharechat.co.nz]On Behalf Of hugh webber Sent: Monday, November 24, 2003 7:58 AM To: sharechat@sharechat.co.nz Subject: Re: Re: [sharechat] tell me I am wrong by macdunk Aw c'mon. You can't blame Air NZ for the Ansett debacle in Australia, sounds like you have been brainwashed by Australian propaganda. Blame (a) the Australian Government for insisting on bringing in more competition at the same time as they agreed to Air NZ taking over Ansett (b) the Australian unions for refusing to let Air NZ do any rationalisation between Ansett and Air NZ e.g. the engineering and maintenance (c) previous Australian ownership for running down the Ansett fleet and freezing Air NZ out of the picture until the last moment. Given all that it was inevitable that Ansett would crash and burn. What is weird is the Australian media and pressure group interests to try and then blame Air NZ for it and for creating silly propaganda stories proven to be untrue that Air NZ had been stripping cash and parts out of Ansett before its demise. It all lines up with stab your Anzac mate in the back as played by John O'Neill and never give a sucker a break which is the usual Aussie attitude to NZ. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To remove yourself from this list, please use the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/chat/forum/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To remove yourself from this list, please use the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/chat/forum/
