All the talk about SARS not being as 'infectious' as the cold is a misnomer. If it infects 1/1000 but that person is certain to die from it, I think there is something to be concerned about. You don't die from a cold...you die from your body failing to beat it. If your body has no chance to fight SARS then we should be concerned.
