Actually I agree Nick. Nats are pathetic, especially Bill English - they are always apologising, they don't know how to defend capitalism or free markets because they have not examined its' philosophic base. But public opinion can change quickly. Don is a pragmatist like my other friend Alan Greenspan - I don't think we will have to wait until he is 75 :-). Though given the disregard with which NZ'ers hold intellectual types, maybe :-/.

I hear what you are saying about AIR Snoopy. As you know, and no doubt agree with, laissez-faire capitalism is free minds and free markets.Airlines have never been that and never will be because of the barrier to entry. So I know Gareth's view seems utopian. But we can dream...;-).
