Hi Dick I own a large farm in Southland and have a lot of dealings with both PGG and Reid Farmers .I would give them a D rating on most of their divisions except livestock and their livestock manager is probably the smartest and best stock agent in NZ . They have had a reputation of standing by their clients in hard times. I think they will survive the coming rural downturn. Dairycow financing could be a problem.heifers bringing $1300 in the autumn are now fetching $800 and were wintered as well. We now have too many farmer supply firms...... some one will go broke. Hope this helps Geoff ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To remove yourself from this list, please use the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/chat/forum/
