Hi folks,
As a novice to this sharemarket carry-on, I've been
lurking this forum for a couple of months now, and found it very interesting,
especially Phaedrus' charts. At the same time I have been doing some study
of TA, with the help of a library copy of Alex Elder's book and the ASX charting
thing at incrediblecharts.com. I've just got a couple of
questions:
-What sort of win/loss ratio is possible with good
TA?
-I guess I should probably paper trade to find out,
but what sort of average return can I expect on my investments with a sensible
trading system etc? How closely are predicted returns in
Metastock backtesting matched by actual returns?
-How rigid should one's system of selecting stocks
to trade be, i.e. should you reject a possible trade because one indicator gives
a less-than-positive signal?
Thanks in advance for any reply,
Bertie.
