The first 1/4 results from CAH are to be
released in mid-July......well it is mid -July and no sign of the results yet,
however rumour out of the market on friday points to good
trading figures.
If the figures are very positive this should
confirm that the forestry/building sector in general is rising out of the long
term slump. FBU investors may view this as encouraging, as the much
improved FBU result (yet to be finalised) would be seen as not a one off
anomally.
USA declining consumer figures will no doubt
spoil the party mood, but Carters seem to have a good management activity
and have sucessfully opened up new markets in asia (China and South
Korea) in foresight of a possible decline in its USA markets if things went
real sour there. (which it hasn't ).
Next week I will be watching the forestry/building
sector with interest.
