Take a look at Funtastic (ASX:FUN) currently trading at 64cents With the Spiderman movie been a box office surprise it will be interesting to see what affect this will have on the Funtastic shareprice. Fantastic have the exclusive rights (still trying to find out what this actually means) to distribute “Spiderman Toys” to the Australian market. See the announcement they made to the ASX on Friday http://stocknessmonster.com/news-item?S=FUN&E=ASX&N=190157 I am sure Funtatsic were not anticipating the huge success of the film (no one was) and as such were not predicting Spiderman to be a major contributor to their bottom line. Given that they are a small cap (Mkt cap $AU34mil) the success of the film and the spinoff merchandise could make a significant impact. Disregarding Spiderman, Funtastic is a great little company and worth looking into more. It has small but solid revenue streams, proven management, acceptable dividends, ridiculously low PE etc. Liquidity is not too much of a problem either. Using my charting 101 skills Funtastic looks to the in an upward trend and have reasonably support around 58cents. There seems to be some resistance around 62cents however this was broken on Friday…. Maybe Phaedrus and Andrew would care to comment? Here is an interesting supporting article in today's SMH http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2002/05/10/1021002390496.html The Funtatsic Annual report is also a “Fun” read. The whole annual report is presented as a Spiderman comic”. If there were awards for most innovative annual report Funtatasic latest would rate highly. – It can be found here. http://www.funtastic.com.au Interested in others views. I’m now off to buy myself a “Web Shooter”. It shoots “Web Fluid” over 180m! Cheers Adam Disc – I hold a few. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To remove yourself from this list, please use the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/chat/forum/
