[sharechat] Telecom
Snoopy - the 'gather' was from an article in The Herald. Read somewhere else
that overall debt has now been reduced to $5.8 billion. Maybe somebody out
there knows what the story is.
Did you read the article from The Australian that somebody posted on the
other channel. The link to the original -
http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,4148057%5E643,00.html
The article seems to echo what donkeyboy was saying last week about Theresa.
Bit of a worry if there is 'discord' between Gattung and other Telecom
executives.
So there is a review of assets under way. See my $1 billion writedown was
mentioned in the article. They were also a bit more unkind than I was when
describing the Telecom balance sheet as 'grossly inflated'
Also in the article mention of bringing in the likes of McKinsey. As the
article says 'a sign of defeat'.
Snoopy - you have compared Telecom with Air New Zealand as it was a year
ago. I hadn't thought of it that way but there does seem some chilling
similarities.
Leave it at that for tonight but would enjoy hearing more from anybody what
they think.
