Rockbottom,

           Technically the NZSE40 is already in a medium-term downtrend, having 
made a lower low after a lower high. It is also in a short-term downtrend. It 
may perhaps find support again at 2020.
 If this was a stock, I wouldn't want to be holding it just now.
