Whether it was Air New Zealand's fault or not you had to feel 
somewhat sad to see the last Ansett flight land today.

While the Ansett family sheds tears into their champagne it is still 
ironic that the company that squeezed every dollar they could out of 
Ansett is still owed a tidy sum by Air New Zealand.

Fran from The Herald said the other day that Air New Zealand might 
finally settle this with News Corp as part of the interim 
announcement. She figured the amount still owing is $29M. I have a 
feeling it is higher than this.

Never mind what the amount is surely Air New Zealand needs to 
exorcise itself of anything to do with Ansett.

Let's see what eventuate on Thursday.
