Just before Christmas when tourist numbers were down substantially (or so we
are told) I was on a tour of the South Island. As a part of my itinary I
visited Milford Sounds and took a trip on one of the THL red boats. The
place was a hive of activity and the Red Boats were doing a good trade. I
also visited Mount Cook and took a ride on the Helicopter Line up to the
snow. The helicopters hold 6 guests with a charge out rate of $250 per
person. The turnaround time for each helicopter was half an hour and there
were 3 helicopters operating and tourists were queing to get on board. By my
maths this equates to 6x250x3x2= $9000 per hour plus there was at least one
other helicopter operating on a different route.This is the business which
is now to be offered for sale. With this sort of trade when their is a
downturn in the industry the business must be making heaps (or so I thought)
so consequently I held onto my THL shares thinking that I will make a
fortune from them.

Just look at the Tourism statistic's the number are rising by 10% every year
and other company's making money.
I have worked in the Tourism Industrie for over 20 years and have many
friend in this Industrie and all of them make good profit's.
Just an example, one friend own a small restaurant (seats 40 people)and make
over 100k
Kelly Talton & Milford  are making tones of money where does it go.
So if THL can't make it work, just ask yourself why???
