The key to a company succeeding in betting on the web seems to be to get as big as possible as quickly as possible so as to grab a good chunk of the gambling market. There is no IP here, just branding (and cutting margins), and in the end Feverpitch may run into the same problem that Frucor had with 'V' and Red Bull. (for examples of P2P-betting see http://www.vegascorner.com/howto/article_listing.cfm?rec_id=1186 ) On the other hand to carry on the 'V' analogy, there is good regional support for 'V', just not the global sales that were initially hoped for.
