as a complete novice I am unhappy to learn that some investors have decided not to post opinions or better still, stock picks, in this forum anymore. I feel I have missed out on some profitable (free) financial advice and hope that the die-hards, such as yourselves, decide to stay. Even though I am somewhat overwhelmed with the advice and am not really sure what to do with most of it, I will continue to read and enjoy. Heads up. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Phaedrus" <Phaedrus@techemail.com> To: <Sharechat@sharechat.co.nz> Sent: Thursday, December 13, 2001 2:31 PM Subject: [sharechat] NZSE40 > The first chart is a 35 year history of the NZSE40 Capital Index. (Data by courtesy of Adam Rands, Iguana2) It is not as bad as it looks. A better indication of performance is to use the Gross index, which includes dividends, etc. I have plotted both indices on the same chart over the last 8 years. The apparent net loss on the Capital Index is in fact a net gain when measured using the Gross Index. > I was able to refrain from adding some trendlines - it was a struggle though. > Phaedrus. > > _____________________________________________________________ > Are you a Techie?
