Hi James,
Every share is, essentially, an entity of its own. A bit like a box of
apples. They all come from the same tree. Some may end up being sold in one
fruit shop, some however in another. Shares can be bought [and sold] through
any outlet [stock market] that cares to deal in / "list" them.
It gets interesting when you decide to buy in one market and sell in another
at the same time. This is known as Arbitrage and can get complicated.

How are shares in a compnay simultaneously traded on more
than one stock
exchange?
