         How do the charts take into account companies leaving the index?
 Manywhich have left during this period have provided good gains
for shareholders.  Montana , Fletcher energy, paper  PDL etc. Also
what about delistings?   One more thing is this a weighted index? ie does
telecom basically decide its direction?
