Ummmmmmm - why are Seminars no good unless free.    In my experience they all need investigating and some freebies are a sprat to catch a mackerel.    Whereas it is very educational to hear someone with communication skills present.
How do you learn to be an accountant??   >From a book or a free Seminar????    I am not saying that all Seminars are top notch just that some are amazing in that traders do give of their very best with plenty of notes to back up afterwards..... Phyllis.

     Books good     (especially library books)
    Pheodrus good  (free)
    Metastock  good
    equis.com good

Blackbox systems bad  (you tell em Mary !!)
    Seminars bad                (unless free)

You say yourself that TA isnt rocket science, in fact many people say the simpler systems are the better ones, ie one indicator combined with a confirmed uptrend.
There are many good books around, there many good websites.
I have feeling ben wont be in favour of this forum being used to advertise
products or seminars, especially by somebody called nick.   Its also
a little worrying that you ask  us what the downside of Fletcher forests is lol
