Re: [sharechat] Something to think about for all you newbie chartists

I believe that total reliance on any one particular method of investment strategy is unwise. If an investor had relied on brokers advice over time then where would their portfolio be. The beat the brokers competition shows that consistency from the professionals doesn't exist so we should not be placing their advice any higher than chicken entrails. At the heart of the matter is that each investor is responsible for thir own decisions. How they reach those decisions is up to them and if it all goes wrong they must take it on the chin and accept the responsibility for being the one who hirt the send button or dialled the broker.
As an aside I notice non chartists often state that Buffet doesn't use charts but it is my understanding that his strategy is long term investing not short term. Am I correct in this assumption?
Cheers
