james I think if we all knew this then we'd all be rich...picking the bottom is as hard as picking the top IMHO. It's easy(ish) to know when to buy, but a lot harder to know when to sell. Picking the bottom is difficult. Take alook at ADV. Trying to pick their bottom would have been hard. You run the risk of estimating a bottom and then investing in a southbound stock. MAybe Phaedrus can halp further.
