Very pleasing to see this, especially after all the knocking
the stock (and supporters) recieved after the
price plummeted
earlier in the year.
This recognition is sure to have
a big effect in terms of visibility
for the company. Many of the fund managers that
specialise in small caps will
no doubt be wanting some of the
action.
What we really want is some good
news coming out of the u.k.
The summer is but a memory now in that part of the
world, when are we
going to hear some news?
The following is an extract from
the N Z Herald web site.
Frucor has been named as one of the world's 20 best small companies for
2002 by US finance magazine Forbes Global.
Frucor said it was chosen from over 20,000 qualifying companies
globally.
Forbes said it devised the list by conducting polls of fund managers,
entrepreneurs, bankers and equity analysts.
Congratulations to Frucor management, and to myself basking in reflected
glory as a Frucor shareholder.
This may be unfair, but this sort of adulation from financial commentators
reminds me of Fortex in their glory days.
So Frucor management please remember what the Greeks taught us, Hubris is
followed inexorably and inevitably (for those without humility) by Nemesis.
