I'm aware of what it is - an internal implant to
temporarily boost an existing heart
My points stand.
- It is an invasive procedure for clients
with an existing high risk of death. It will increas the risk
significantly
- It will be very expensive because of
insurance.
- It has limited to no benefit to people awaiting
transplant because there is a fixed supply of normal l hearts to
transplant
- It has very limited use in other cases because
the risks of the procedure outweigh the benefits as compared to alternative
treatments
As regards the telemetry and PDA, my points still
stand as well. They are trying to compete in an existing market without
any significant product differentiation.
