Hi Jefley, Sorry if I've been coming across as opinionated...no my role hasn't really changed (along with Phil I'm still moderating the Forum) but I will admit that the whole Air New Zealand saga was quite disturbing to me and I guess I let my feelings be known in the Forum more than I normally would. Also, I do try sometimes to stimulate some debate on matters, and playing the "devils advocate" can help in getting people to present their view of the matter, or an opposing view. Being based in Sydney has also meant that I've been able to look at NZ business from afar (so to speak), which has provided some interesting perspective's as well...for example, comparing the way the NZSE operates to the ASX. But lets not go there ;-) Best Regards Ben Dutton ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jefley Aitken" <jefley@xtra.co.nz> To: <sharechat@sharechat.co.nz> Sent: Friday, October 05, 2001 8:45 AM Subject: [sharechat] selling strategies: itc, cli > thank you john for the tax info, and thank you dave for your thoughts. > phaedrus, your chart on CLI was timely. i'm definitely interested! > ... gosh, this forum's great for learning stuff. > > another thought: ben dutton, i used to think of you as sort of a senior > statesman type of contributor when you were managing director (or > something). i notice now that you are extremely 'opinionated' (in the best > sense of the word) and i was wondering if your role has changed or if it's > something to do with living in sydney? no criticism intended. > regards, jefley > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- > To remove yourself from this list, please use the form at > http://www.sharechat.co.nz/chat/forum/ > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To remove yourself from this list, please use the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/chat/forum/
