Thanks, Mat. The point we are trying to make
is that management are taking the rewards even though shareholder value is not
increasing. In the case of Air New Zealand,there has, of course, been
massive loss of capital and shareholder value, the future profitability of the
airline industry is uncertain, particularly in view of recent tragic events, and
yet the CEO and other top management are paid and retain significant
bonuses.
