[sharechat] ITC

Because trendlines are straight, they represent a linear time/price
relationship. If the rate of change of a stocks price changes (the trend
accelerates) a new trend line will be required to represent the new time/price
relationship. The attached chart of ITC gives an excellent example of this. A
steady downtrend accelerated and became steeper, then accelerated again to
become a nosedive. Use of these three confirmed trendlines kept you out of ITC
for well over a year, while it followed an inexorable downward path.
         Phaedrus.
