RE: [sharechat] SKC thoughts please

Hi Grant,

How can internet gambling be made illegal?

It takes place in "cyberspace" and is therefore outside the legislation of
any individual country.

Sky City have a stake [33%?] in Canbet, an aussie company. I think the
current situation with this company is that they are not permitted to offer
internet gambling to aussies, but can offer this facility to people outside
Australia, which they do.
I think Ebet [dually listed NZSE & ASX] does the same, and believe both
companies have seen recent very significant income growth in this area.

I'd be interested in other comments from chatters especially if I havn't got
this right.

Cheers,
John

SKC: locally this company shall continue to do well.

Whilst there is a drop in people travelling world wide, SKC
Auckland Casino
does one hell of a trade and I believe the Hamilton problems
are behind them
(even seem to have somehow missed out on becoming a council
election
                political target this time around).

I know little of their overseas stakes apart from the
Internet Gambling
investment in OZ, which may soon be illegal

                Grant
