[sharechat] Directors:The quality of decision making : AIR

Yes, no doubt it is interesting to discuss the facets of this problem. However, it tends to start at Board Room level .

The question is: Will the present and some Directors who have resigned, have had sufficient time or competence to have made the right decisions?

I shall start the ball rolling by referring to the number of Directorships, Sir Selwyn Cushing holds: More than 25, I believe. I would class him as a professional director.

Presumably, he would not have to attend a monthly meeting of each company, but it certainly is a lot of companies, in my opinion.

Snoopy is more familiar with the Directorships some are holding, perhaps he or somebody else can give us a list of Directorships, some have. Anybody wishing to comment, please watch your language!

There is good money in holding a lot of directorships in my opinion. And a few bonusses make it all worthwhile!

And Snoopy, once you hold 50 directorships, I shall support any nomination for an accolade!

Investors have a habit of criticising Directors after something has gone wrong. I feel that they ought to put more effort in preventing some from standing:
