Gerry:
Have a look at British Empire Securities and
General. They have 45% of their funds in cash at present after unloading what
they thought was an over priced market some 18 months ago. Similar company
to RIT who have 17% cash at present. Both in the global market, both very good
track records and I don't just mean past performance, but also very
long-term management which for me is a major consideration.
A general question for you however. Are these
types of investments, i.e. global value, any better than GPG?
Cheers
Brian
