Brian, I think that under shock all of us have said things that we
have perhaps not properly thought through. I think that your remark
based on what Jesse wrote at the time the whole thing was breaking
news is perhaps a little harsh.

I, myself, through a local broker have recently purchased some shares
via "Morgan Stanley Dean Witter" who were a tenant in the Twin
Towers. I get no pleasure from the thought that the people who
completed this transaction for me are most probably dead.

Jesse's post is irrational in the sense that the US economy is not
going to collapse. I can understand the natural compassion that can
can overwhelm people like yourself when confronted with a disaster of
this magnitude. But I do not think that it is appropriate that the
associated anger is directed at other members of this forum.

Meanwhile perhaps you might reflect that your own implication: "that
people should forget about the financial markets completely while the
human compassion stories unfold" is exactly what the terroists want
to happen.
