I don't think Canbet is as bad as all that. They
did have a $284 m gambling turnover last year,
but they couldn't return a profit on it.
(lost $4 m for the year total)

Canbet no longer has a problem with the Australian
government. The problem now seems to be that
one of their big advantages - trading from a
'normal' country (ie not some tin-pot Island 
somewhere) is being seriously eroded, with
competitors now moving back to operate from
the UK...

"Accordingly Canbet is now giving consideration
to the merits of establishing operations in 
other jurisdictions."
