[sharechat] SKC - Canbet

SKC bought into CBT at share prices of 15 cents and 25 cents. It is now 5.9
cents - my budgie dropping on the NZ Herald sharemarket page and picking a
stock can do better.

Why is CBT 5.9 cents? I guess part of it is that the Eric Watson magic has
dissipated like winter snow in the spring sunshine but the underlying reason
is that CBT was going to be SKC's entree into online gambling. Problem is -
the Australian govt has put a stop to that so where does CBT go from here?
The Sports betting that it is in has no barriers to entry and is open to
competition. CBT is threatening to open the online gambling from the Cooks
Island but then, anybody can do it.

Like I said, the Auckland Casino is an absolute goldmine but under the
current management, shareholders can watch the $$$ getting gambled away in
bad investments like Force, Canbet etc..
