From: "G Stolwyk" > From: "Martin Rea" > To: "G Stolwyk" >> To enter the NZSE40 a company can either force its way >> into the index or replace a company which has been forced >> out. Thank you for taking the time to enquire into this for us Gerry. >> At the last review THL ranked in 50th position If the current stronger price levels of THL continue, then (as I read it) it is likely their market capitalisation will keep them ranking at 50th place or better. Therefore, for RBC to get included in the index, they will have to rank 29th or better come the review in September, or hope that another company at the lower end has a significant drop in market capitalisation relative to those around it. And of course there is always the take-over facility that could effectively remove one or two of them also... Regards Michael === disc: hold THL so will keep my fingers crossed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.sharechat.co.nz/ New Zealand's home for market investors ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To remove yourself from this list, please use the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/forum.shtml.
