[sharechat] RMG making a profit this year?
Good posts from Gerry on RMG and other debt management companies.
Shareholders get very little in the way of information from most
companies. What they do get they often have to come to their own
conclusions by reading between the lines of what is disclosed. From
both company statements or when officers are quoted in the press.
How do you get on with this from the Herald today -
Chairman Tony Hodgson told the annual meeting in Melbourne two weeks
ago that the company had been trading profitably since January.
Mr Boult said that did not necessarily mean RMG would make it back
into profit for the full year. "But there'll certainly be a very
positive trend there."
The company had forecast a full-year profit of $A5.6 million.
What chance then of RMG making a profit this year? From this bit of
press 50%.
If you add Gerry's analysis into the equation the odds of making a
profit this year are 33% - being Mr Hodgson saying yes v's Messers
Stolwyk and Boult saying no.
Confused?
Cheers
Peter
