Key Air New Zealand executives could be in line for a $NZ24 million 
($18 million) windfall if the airline concludes a partnership deal 
with Qantas and spins off debt-ridden Ansett Australia to Singapore 
Airlines.

The Air New Zealand board has just announced a multi-million-dollar 
share option package for senior executives including new chief 
executive Mr Gary Toomey, as Qantas's chief executive Mr Geoff Dixon 
begins talks in New Zealand on the proposed partnership deal.
