I agree with u and Peter
FRU is and can be an ongoing successfull Kiwi company here and overseas
..YES we need more of these companies to add some extra dough to flow back
thru our diminishing NZ economy.
I have shares in FRU so I think of the company highly however the risk
factor is uncomfortably high at present.
FRU marketing team is a worry at the moment, they have developed ""I am
invincible""attitude and have jumped into Red Bull's backyard fighting them
head on . A David & Golith scenereo. When I was learning Market at Varsity,
lesson 1 was dont bully the big boys unless u have bigger friends...if u do
expect to get your arse kicked.
Well FRU marketing just got theirs kicked and I hope they have learnt from
this extremely basic mistake. I hope and presume that their marketing team
are intelligent people and have gone back to basic Marketing Research Theory
and develop a niche market in Britain,or not be in Britain at all. ( the
only way to gain market share when up against and competing against a
company much larger than u.).
I am watching this area and any more dumb mistakes like this and I might
take my losses and move on. This British summer will tell. If I was CEO I
would have given the Mktg Dept a rev-up and rolled a few heads.
