[sharechat] Frucor - Lessons Learnt

Staying clear of IPOs is like trying to enjoy wine without the alcohol -
it's what gives wine its underlying basis for existence.

Serious money has been made in IPOs since time immemorial in the market. NZ
unfortunately hasn't been a great place for IPOs (except for stags in most
instances) but look in Australia and you will find the Mom and Dad of this
world building up solid performing portfolios through IPOs over the years -
Woolworths, Macquarie Bank, CBA, Telstra, Qantas, Billabong, Optus, AMP,
Colonial, etc...

As long as investors did not get sucked into the IT/New Economy BS stocks
and the inflated hyped up IPOs, they have done well.
