Post from Phaedrus of 26 of April has a couple of websites you may be interested in, the first one I have found particularly good.

----------------------------------------

The best information site I have found is at http://www.echarts.com/Learning/Library/   There is an entire book on-line entitled "Technical Analysis from A-Z" by Steven Achelis. It gives full information on most every technical indicator.
For charting, the best free site I know of is at
http://www.equis.com/java/   This gives live (intraday if you want) interactive charting, (USA only) using a limited version of Metastock with access to about 20 of the 100 or so indicators available. You can even draw your own trendlines if you wish.
It seems to be fashionable to issue disclaimers in this chatgroup. I consider them to be of no value whatsoever, but, for what it's worth - I have no financial interest in Metastock, I merely consider it the best technical analysis program available.

peter
you seem to be the one called upon for you indepth knowledge of charting and such forth so I will direct these querys to you but any one elses input would be appreciated
I've just been looking at the stockhouse site and was playing around with some of the graphing there with a couple of ASX co's
could you give a brief outline of what you look for or use to do your graphing?
there is without doubt a huge amount of material that can be graphed Parabolic SAR, MACD, Bollingerbands- they look pretty but what do some of these mean?
would they assist investors in knowing a bit more about the benefits or use of some of them?
Is there a website that gives these sort of cool tools for NZSE co's?

cheers iccon
