Selling is the hardest discipline of all ,mainly because it quite often means a self admission of being wrong .

I use moving averages to enter and exit .

For short term 3/13 ,buy when the 3 day moves above the 13 and visa versa to sell.

Medium term I use 7/20.

However if I believe the fundamentals are good then it may be worth staying for the ride .

I appreciate all the knowledge and experience people are willingly sharing on the forum. Hopefully one day I'll also be able to help. Until then, 2 questions:

 

1. Anyone know why Savoy is shooting up?

 

2. I have several short term holds that are now in the bottom draw. Several of you have commented that you should let the rises run and cut your losses. I have a lot of trouble selling shares. Is anyone willing to share their rules/strategies for cutting losses?
