Dear Keith Frankum,
Keith,
Thanks for your support!
I am quite happy to withdraw and let somebody
else make the pace.
As a 74 years old, I don't need any more
publicity as I have been getting it in this Forum
for months!
Ideally, a prominent and active member of a
proposed Shareholders Association should move in and carry on.
Can somebody contact this person or give me her /
his email address, please?
If there were no substantial NZ companies left
within a short time, well, I tend to be much more at ease with Australian and
other countries' shares anyway.
That is because their stock exchange have a rigid
code and I don't expect sudden moves behind my back!
One would think that some brokers would join
in because their livelihood will be at stake as we run out of the larger NZ
companies!
Unfortunately most are "owned " by large foreign
broking houses.
Readers can expect adverse comment on our
activities from sources hiding under a nom de plume.
There won't be much more left to talk about on
any sharechat site once these valuable - if few - companies are
gone!
And a Shareholders' Association will then have
a difficult time!
And if the Minister of Commerce waits too long
before taking any action or
if any protesting group splinters and devises too
many different ( and sometimes time consuming ) schemes, then nothing will be
done or we shall be running out of time!
We need concerted action
now!
There must be a way to stop the NZSE from
causing more harm to the average shareholder by their - what many refer to as
an"incestuous" relationship with
institutions.
Unfortunately, speed of action is
essential and coordinated moves by us, readers, are
essential:
Is your company being lined
up for a take-over before July and how are you going to be
treated?
Gerry
