hmmm, I saw one tenth of 1 cent quoted as the net asset backing of AQL in the media a month or two ago. When I pointed out the disparity between this and its then share price of 3 point something cents on share chat I was told it was because there were entrepreneurs queuing up to buy AQL to back their profitable new enterprises into. Trouble is, now the tech bubble has partly burst (and they weren't profitable anyway) no one can actually suggest any specific candidates. AQL will remain one of the classic cases of the NZ sharemarket I guess, like Equiticorp, Chase, BIL.....or Poseiden in Australia. Up to 23 cents on the basis of chasing 'names' rather than any quantitative research, the darling of the momentum investors, and still it has its devoted fans even though you can hear the air continuing to slowly hiss out of its tyres. Its something emotional and psychological I think; more space on sharechat over the years than WHS and Baycorp combined. Arrrrrrgggghhhhhhh! Its the AQL plague! I could buy a million and I would sound awfully rich and if it just got talked up one cent on sharechat....Wow! Nah, I'd rather watch the rugby..... ---------- > From: Lyall Taylro <lyall.taylor@lycos.com> > To: sharechat@sharechat.co.nz > Subject: Re: [sharechat] AQL > Date: Saturday, 17 February 2001 22:25 > > What makes you think AQL is going to turn around.
